Biological turntable intelligent process

First applied to river management

Liangtan River is one of the most important secondary rivers in the main urban area, and its comprehensive remediation project has been listed as a key project of the central environmental protection inspector.

In October last year, Chongqing Chuanyi Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Chuanyi Environmental Company), a subsidiary of Chongqing Chuanyi, applied the biological turntable intelligent water treatment equipment developed by it to the river channel treatment of the Jiulongpo section of Liangtan River. More than three months have passed, and the once stinky river has become crystal clear, the water quality has gradually recovered, and reached the four types of surface water standards.

On August 10th, the Chongqing Daily reporter saw in the Jiulongpo section of the Liangtan River Wetland that 42 white bio-carousels with a length of about 6 meters and a height of more than 2 meters were neatly arranged on one side and fully closed.

“In each biological turntable, a large number of microorganisms are grown. These microorganisms can eat organic pollutants in the sewage and make the sewage cleaner.” The relevant person in charge of Sichuan Environmental Company explained.

The Chongqing Daily reporter saw that the turbid river first entered the water distribution pond and stood still, and then entered the core unit of the biological turntable through the huge main canal. After several steps, the water flowing out from the drain of the submerged wetland became “suddenly”. It is crystal clear and does not smell a bit scent.

The bio-rotary process is a biofilm treatment technology, which is mainly used in county and township sewage treatment, and it is the first time to apply to river management.

Liangtan River Jiulongpo Section Change Landscape Wetland Park

In the process of the treatment of the Jiulongpo section of Liangtan River, Sichuan Instrument Environmental Company organically combined the biological technology of the biological turntable with the restoration of the ecological environment, making full use of the river landform, forming a biological predator as a strengthening pretreatment unit, supplemented by multi-level wetlands. At the same time as the river water body restoration, the river water quality control indicators have been effectively controlled, and a beautiful landscape wetland park has been created in the Jiulongpo section.

“The water is flowing and the greenery is green. It is a good place for our weekend leisure.” A citizen who came to the wetland of the Jiulongpo section of the Liangtan River said, “There was a stench in the past, and all of them licked their noses.”

It is reported that the equipment assisted wetland process can simultaneously process and purify about 40,000 tons of river water. Compared with the domestic conventional treatment process, the water body residence time is reduced by more than 70%, the land occupation is reduced by more than 50%, the mud production is reduced by more than 50%, and the system dissolved oxygen utilization rate is increased by 40%.

“The main indicators such as COD and ammonia nitrogen in the water quality of Jiulongpo section have been effectively reduced after the sewage treatment by the biological turntable, which has achieved the expected target and effectively alleviated the pollution problem in this basin.” The relevant person in charge of Sichuan Environmental Company said.

According to the data monitored by the Chongqing Daily reporter from the Jiulongpo section of Liangtan River, NH3-N (ammonia nitrogen content in water), which is an important indicator of environmental impact assessment, has been reduced by 10 times or even higher in treated water.
